Anna Hartzog started Village Editorial as a way to bridge the gap between would-be authors and the world of publishing. She strives to make the writing and publishing process accessible to others through her years of experience. Especially for larger projects, it can take a village to bring them to fruition. Anna maintains a network of publishing professionals and will assemble your village based on your individual needs.
Meet Anna!
Anna lives with her husband and sons near Birmingham, Alabama. She comes from a family of storytellers (though the truth in these often-told stories has tended to stretch over the years) and has always loved reading, writing, and spending too much time in libraries, bookstores, and coffee shops. Anna believes in the power of stories to connect us to our past and has always been inspired by the food and love that came from her grandmother’s table. Before becoming a writer and editor by trade, Anna taught high school and college English for 6 years and was the writer of a food blog, Recipes from Newlyweds. Anna has spent the last 7 years working as an editor and editorial director, overseeing the production of many magazines, books, and marketing projects.
