Delynn Crawford

Delynn and her husband, Jim, live on a scenic bluff overlooking Lake Guntersville in North Alabama. She has always had a natural passion for reading, dedicating twenty-seven years to teaching middle school language arts. Now, semi-retired, she enjoys a good novel, watching classic black-and-white films, entertaining her grandchildren, and traveling with her husband. Delynn’s love for psychological thrillers has evolved from reading them into writing her own. She recently completed her first novel and is currently working on a sequel. For her, stories are best when the reader is taken on a journey of twists, turns, and surprises.
Her debut novel leans into the emerging cozy thriller genre and delivers everything the reader is hoping for. Set in charming Berry Bluff, the story reveals that even a picture perfect place can hide dark secrets. After moving to a new home in Kentucky, Sophie discovers a journal tucked inside an antique chest. What began as a glimpse into someone else’s past, unravels into a haunting account of a mother’s pain and heartache. With each entry read, Sophie unknowingly edges closer to a devastating truth about her own life. Delynn’s favorite place to write is on her back deck, coffee in hand, surrounded by the woods and a view of the lake. Though her stories explore the darker sides of life—murder, death, and betrayal—she’s content to leave the drama on the page and enjoy a quiet, fulfilling life with her family.
