Novelist Emily Corr Lee began her writing as a practice in introspection. With a career as an interior designer for more than 40 years, she was accustomed to finding creative fulfillment in beautifying her clients’ homes. In 2018, however, an inspired dream propelled her to begin writing. Now, eight years later, after countless revisions and thousands of words scattered across the floor, her manuscript, titled Found, is complete. Writing the novel has opened the door to a new and joyful avenue of creative expression—and, along the way, has changed her heart.

After years of witnessing how prejudice shows up in quiet inherited ways—sometimes in generations of families, in neighbors, in friends, and, most poignantly, in ourselves—the moment she realized inherited generational prejudice had been silently ingrained in her since childhood, she was shattered. Change was required. Found is the story she needed to tell to explore how love and moral courage can rewrite even the darkest past.

She plans to release the novel in Spring 2027.
